The Winning Design

Get Shirty

The Get Shirty design competition created a high-performance innovative women’s kit at a time when the visibility of women in sport is becoming more and more significant. A kit is so much more than something you wear. It not only affects outward perceptions, it affects how the team feel about themselves.

Entries were open to anyone from school students to professional designers. The prize fund of £1000 for the successful design, plus £1000 towards an official female sports group of the winner's choice.

The winner has now been announced as Sarah Diante with her striking entry featuring the prominent stag at it's centre. You can view the winning entry and read more about Sarah's design here.

Sarah's design has been produced by Macron and will be unveiled in a special event at Hartlepool Rovers on 11th May 2024 at the event, 'Celebrating Women in Sport.'

Hartlepool Rovers, in collaboration with Eden Arts and Hartlepool Borough Council, is thrilled to announce a forthcoming gala event that aims to celebrate women in sport. Scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2024, the event, aptly titled "Celebrating Women in Sport," promises to showcase the rich tapestry of female sporting successes in Hartlepool and the wider northern region.

The event, which will be free to attend, is set to take place between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM at the Hartlepool Rovers Rugby Club, West View Road, Hartlepool, TS24 0BP. Following the daytime activities, a social event will be held in the clubhouse starting at 7:00 PM. See here

The event will be free to attend and will feature on field displays and participation sessions, allowing clubs/groups to showcase their own sports. The event will also serve as a networking/recruiting event, designed to encourage conversations between interested individuals and sporting organisations.
