Car

These were some notes from my research stay at Eden Arts for my next performance, Bow. Thank you for your kind welcome and, overall, for standing up for art in rural areas. It was a pleasure.

Workwomen trilogy. Part two- BOW (Nortear in Galician)

Ethnography.-Work on the coast-------> harvesting shellfish, netting, carrying fish, carrying men who came from the boats (real tradition now lost, registered in Auchmithie), pulling nets, harvesting and carrying seaweed, bobbin lace, salting etc.

Philosophy.- Migration. Globalisation. Movement. Nomadism. Oceans side by side (Galiza and Scotland). Networks.

CONCEPTUAL WORK WITH THE BODY BASED ON FIELD WORK. On rehearsal:

Bobbin lace_net making_ packing shellfish_ pulling nets_ carrying seaweed

Posture ---------> transition---------> posture

Tension-----fall-----tension

Directions/lines/ leakage point

Working with weight: pull/push

Work with inertia: fall (sign of north south east and west)/ running in circles ( shrinking the circle until turning

around carrying your own weight)

Point out -------> vision/ extremities--------> desire/ goal

Work with estrangement- trying to dissociate method from body. Another way to perform field work.

Knitting myself with my fingers

ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS BASED ON THE DIFFERENT STARTING POSITIONS IN THE CHOREO-

GRAPHY {BODY AS STUDY, MOVEMENT AS GEOMETRY}. In process.
